Pitch &Â Judging
Present your solution to a panel of neurosurgeons, with finalists selected through two rounds of judging.
NeuroBridge
Team NeuroBridge developed a low-cost triage kit that quickly identifies the type of stroke a patient is having. Designed for remote, underserved settings, the kit delivers actionable results in minutes and enables faster treatment decisions.

Judges evaluate teams based on the creativity and practicality of their solutions. Winning teams are those that present innovative ideas with the potential to make a significant impact in global neurosurgery.
While the Hackathon runs for 3 days, participants are not required to be present the entire time. Clear communication with teammates is key to managing participation effectively.
A panel of experts from neurosurgery, technology, and healthcare evaluates submissions based on criteria like innovation, feasibility, and the impact of the proposed solution on global neurosurgery.
The top-performing teams win exciting rewards, with the grand prize being an all-expenses-paid mission trip to Mexico with the Mission:Brain team. Other exclusive prizes may also be awarded for runners-up.
The Hackathon is a 3-day global virtual event, where teams collaborate to develop and pitch their solutions. Participants need not be available for the entire event as long as they maintain communication with their team.
Participants address challenges related to global neurosurgery. These could include improving surgical techniques, supply chains, policy issues, or technological innovations like medical devices or databases to improve healthcare in underserved areas.
Participants can enter with a pre-formed team of 2-3 members. If you apply individually or as a duo, you will be matched with other participants to form a complete team.
Anyone can join! The Hackathon is open to healthcare providers, students, software developers, and professionals from various fields. You can apply individually or as part of a pre-formed team.
The annual Hackathon brings together innovators, healthcare professionals, and students to develop solutions to real-world neurosurgical challenges. Participants collaborate to address issues in global neurosurgery and present their solutions to a panel of expert judges.
