Introducing the first MB:STROPE newsletter
Our first MB:STROPE newsletter marks an important milestone in the fight against stroke in Latin America. The program—born from the words stroke and prevention—aims to reduce stroke’s prevalence and impact in the region, starting in Mexico. We’re doing this through three main efforts: public awareness campaigns, free screening days to identify at-risk individuals, and an upcoming WhatsApp hotline for fast response.

Highlights from This Month
- Educational Events: Doctors and specialists led workshops on stroke recognition, treatment options, and rehabilitation. Participants learned how to respond quickly and choose the right hospital, as well as practical at-home therapy tips.
- Hands-On Training: The “5 Minutes Can Save Your Brain” workshop challenged attendees with real-world case studies to sharpen diagnosis and response skills.
- Community Engagement: Our Instagram (@tucerebro.noespera) launched in March and has already connected with over 200 followers, drawing interest from medical professionals eager to join.
- Partnerships: Collaborations with universities, medical institutions, and individual specialists are expanding our reach and resources. Applications for new chapters to implement the MB:STROPE program open at the end of August.
Looking Ahead
The next phase will bring more events, expanded partnerships, and creative new ways to spread stroke awareness, including ideas from our recent Hackathon. Together, we’re building a movement where every second matters.
