mission:BRAIN took part in the SCNO Congress through a dedicated forum where regional leaders introduced the organization and its work across Latin America. The session covered how mission:BRAIN chapters contribute to education, research, community outreach, and global neurosurgery in the region.
The first WINGS forum in Latin America
The congress also hosted the first WINGS (Women in Neuroscience Global Symposium) forum held in Latin America. Students, physicians, and neurosurgical professionals came together to discuss mentorship, leadership, and expanding opportunities for women in neuroscience and neurosurgery. The conversation focused on representation, professional development, and collaboration within the field.
Connecting across the region
Together, the mission:BRAIN and WINGS forums gave attendees a chance to learn about current regional initiatives, connect with leaders from different countries, and find ways to take part in projects that improve neurological care and expand access to education across Latin America.
Recognition for mission:BRAIN LATAM
Being included in the SCNO Congress program reflects the growing role of mission:BRAIN LATAM within the region's academic and neurosurgical community. The event strengthened regional partnerships and opened the door to future collaboration, alongside the launch of the first WINGS forum in Latin America.
