Empowering Equitable Health Care Across Nepal
Based at the Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS) in Nepal, this chapter brings together passionate medical students, researchers, neurosurgeons, and aspiring brain health advocates to transform medical knowledge into tangible, impactful outcomes.

Building a Future Where Neuroscience Care is Accessible to all of Nepal
The chapter works to build a community of supporters, including students, professionals, and citizens, who recognize the importance of brain health and push for better neurosurgical care and education.
Our Beginnings
Since its inception in 2023, the PAHS Chapter has shared neurosurgery insights and engages in local initiatives, such as health camps and awareness programs. It empowers students to contribute to Nepal’s medical knowledge through research training.
Community Driven
The PAHS Chapter puts boots on the ground—organizing health screenings, sanitation drives, and free medication distribution in underserved areas. In one recent camp alone, over 150 individuals received early detection, consultations, and essential support for chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes.
Empowering the Next Generation
By involving medical students directly in outreach and research, the chapter transforms education into action. Through mentorship, training, and hands-on opportunities, students learn how to bring neuroscience to life—both in clinics and in communities.
A Future of Equitable Neurosurgery
The mission:BRAIN PAHS Chapter is building more than a program—it’s building a movement. Looking ahead, the team aims to expand rural training, drive national advocacy, and close the gap between cutting-edge care and the communities who need it most.
